How to install an ASPI driver?
An ASPI driver is required to copy CD tracks to hard disk or to burn audio
CDs. If Audio Converter is unable to find an ASPI driver
("Unable to initialize ASPI manager") please try this:
If you are using Windows NT / 2000 / XP / Vista
An ASPI driver is not required. If you still get an error, please contact support@audioconverter.info.
For NT &2000, you must make sure that you are logged in as an Administrator during the
installation of the software, as well as running the software. This does
not apply for XP/Vista.
If you are using Windows 98/ME
- Go to Adaptec's page:
http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/drivers_by_product.html?cat=/Product/ASPI-4.70
- Download and install aspi_v470.exe.
- It will extract a file called "ASPIINST.EXE" into a temporary
folder.
- Find and double click "ASPIINST.EXE" to install the 4.70
drivers. To do this, click the Window's "Start" button,
followed by clicking "Search", followed by clicking "Files or
Folders". Type in "ASPIINST.EXE" without the quotes and
make sure that "My Computer" is selected in the "Look
In" control. Then click "Find Now" or "Search
Now". When it finds the ASPIINST.EXE, double click it to start
the installation.
- Restart your computer.
If you are using Windows 95
- Go to Adaptec's page:
http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.html?filekey=aspi32.exe
- Download and install aspi32.exe.
Note that Adaptec will install this if you have Adaptec hardware or
software.
- Restart your computer.
